Everything you need to know about Parato before using it. If your question is not listed, write to contact@parato.app.
Is Parato a medical device?
No. Parato is a consultation preparation tool — not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. It does not pose any diagnosis, prescribe any treatment, or replace the advice of a healthcare professional. In case of doubt, consult your doctor. In case of vital emergency, call the emergency number of your country.
Are my medical data secure?
Your data is hosted with Supabase (Frankfurt, Germany), with TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 at rest. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no Google Analytics. All requests are scoped by user — it is technically impossible to access another account's data. Full details in our
privacy policy.
How does the consultation preparation work?
In 3 minutes: (1) you describe your symptoms (text or voice), (2) the AI asks you 5 to 8 targeted questions to understand your situation, (3) a structured sheet is generated: doctor summary, priority questions to ask, current medications, relevant medical history. You show it to your doctor during the consultation — they have all the context at a glance.
What is the difference with appointment platforms?
Appointment platforms manage the appointment scheduling and teleconsultation. Parato prepares you for the appointment: structuring what you will say, not forgetting anything important, getting out with the right answers. The two are complementary — Parato does not take appointments.
Can the AI be wrong?
Yes, like any AI. That's why Parato does not pose a diagnosis and only structures your own information. The generated sheet must always be validated by your doctor during the consultation. If something seems incorrect to you, modify it before showing it to the doctor — you keep control from start to finish.
Can I use Parato in case of an emergency?
No, never. In case of an emergency (severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden paralysis, loss of consciousness, bleeding, poisoning…), call the emergency number of your country or go to the emergency room. Parato is not an emergency service or telemedicine.
Who is Parato for?
For anyone who wants to get the most out of their consultation — especially patients with chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, asthma…), caregivers (elderly parents, children), people who consult multiple specialists, and all those who find themselves forgetting half of what they wanted to say when leaving the office.
Are my information shared with my doctor?
Only if you decide to show them the sheet (screen, print, or secure link with a limited duration of 48h). No data is automatically shared with a healthcare professional without your explicit action. You remain in control of who sees what.
How does the referral work?
Share your personalized link from the
Referral page. For each godchild who subscribes to a paid plan, you automatically earn
1 free month credited to your next bill. No limit on the number of godchildren.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, at any time from your profile. Deletion is immediate and final — all your consultations, reminders, prescriptions, and medical data are erased, in accordance with your right to be forgotten (Article 17 of the GDPR). A complete GDPR export is also downloadable before deletion.
Does Parato work offline?
Partially. The installed application as PWA retains access to your dashboard, your past consultations, your medications, and your reminders in offline mode. Creating a new consultation and AI analysis require a connection (models run server-side).
Is my subscription cancellable?
Yes, at any time from your profile → My subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period (no additional payment) and your data remains accessible. You also benefit from a legal right of withdrawal of 14 days after subscription (in the European Union).
