⚠️ Parato is not a medical service
Parato is a tool to help prepare medical consultations. It does not provide diagnoses or replace the advice of a healthcare professional. In case of emergency, call 15 or 112.
1. Purpose
These General Terms of Use (« Terms ») govern access to and use of the Parato service available at parato.app and its iOS and Android mobile applications, published by Khalid Ksouri (see Legal).
Using the service constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
2. Service Description
Parato offers users:
- Preparation for medical consultations via an adaptive AI questionnaire
- Daily tracking of symptoms and medications
- Interpretation of lab results or prescription images
- Organization of reminders (medications, appointments)
- Temporary sharing (48 hours) of prepared records with a healthcare professional
- Centralization of the user’s personal medical history
3. Nature of the Service — What Parato Is Not
- Parato is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. No feature provides a diagnosis or recommends treatment.
- Parato is not a telemedicine service. No doctors are associated with the platform for consultations.
- Parato is not an emergency service. In case of immediate danger, dial 15 (SAMU), 18 (firefighters), or 112 (European emergency number).
- AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccuracies. Any medical decision must be validated by a qualified healthcare professional.
4. Account Creation
- The user must be at least 16 years old
- Account creation is done via magic link sent to the provided email address (no password required)
- The user guarantees the accuracy of the information provided and agrees to keep it up to date
- One account per natural person. Account sharing is prohibited.
- The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their email access
5. Pricing Plans and Subscription
- Free Plan: limited access to 3 consultations per month, no commitment
- Premium Plan (monthly or annual): unlimited consultations and access to all AI features — detailed pricing on /pricing
- Family Plan: up to 6 profiles per account
- Trial Period: 14 days free on paid plans, no commitment (cancelable at any time from Settings)
- Payment: managed by Polar (Merchant of Record) — EU VAT is automatically applied based on the billing country
- Renewal: automatic at the end of the period (monthly/annual) unless canceled beforehand
6. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the user has a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of subscription. However, actively using the service during this period constitutes a waiver of the right to withdraw for the portion consumed.

7. Termination
- The user may terminate their subscription at any time from Settings
- Termination takes effect at the end of the current period (no pro-rated refund)
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible — all data is deleted immediately, and backups are purged within 30 days
- Parato reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of serious violation of these Terms (prior notice unless urgent)
8. Referral Program
Each subscribed user has a referral code. When a referred user subscribes to a paid plan using this code, both the referrer and the referred user receive one month free. Details and conditions are available on the /parrainage page. The cumulative free months are capped at 12 per account per year.
9. User Obligations
The user is prohibited from, among other things:
- Attempting to access other users’ medical data
- Using automated tools (bots, scraping) on the service
- Attempting to bypass technical limitations (rate limits, gating)
- Submitting illegal, defamatory, infringing, or privacy-infringing content
- Using the service to prepare a consultation on behalf of someone who has not consented to it
- Attempting to resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without written permission
10. Intellectual Property
All elements of the service (code, design, editorial content, trademarks, logos) are the exclusive property of Parato or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
The user retains full ownership of the data they enter into the service. By submitting this data, they grant Parato a limited, revocable license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service.
11. Liability
- Parato makes every effort to ensure service availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access (maintenance, force majeure, third-party outages)
- Parato’s liability shall not be engaged for medical decisions made based on information from the service. Any health decision must be validated by a professional.
- In the event of proven direct damage attributable to Parato, liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months
- No liability for indirect damages (loss of opportunity, reputational harm, loss of income)
12. Personal Data
The processing of personal data, particularly health data, is detailed in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to the Terms
Parato reserves the right to modify these Terms. Any material change will be notified to users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after this period constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Paris Court of Appeal, subject to mandatory consumer rules.
In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, consumer users may lodge a complaint free of charge with the MEDIATION-NET CONSOMMATION service (mediation-net-consommation.com) or the European ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
